Six days a week, we work. We sketch, test fabric, chase manufacturers and answer messages. On the seventh day, we stop.
Our text list stops too. Evrlasting will never send an automated marketing text on the seventh day, which for us is Sunday. No drop announcements, no reminders, no "last chance." And if you visit the site that day, it opens to Seventh Day, the line we're making for rest.
Why
Genesis 2 tells us God finished His work, rested on the seventh day, and blessed it. Rest wasn't an afterthought in creation. It was part of the design.
Jesus put it plainly: "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27). Rest is a gift. It's hard to receive a gift while your phone keeps buzzing with someone trying to sell you something.
Most brands treat your attention as something to harvest every hour of every day. We would rather protect it, at least for one day a week.
What it costs us
Honestly, probably some sales. Weekends are when a lot of people shop. We think that's a fair trade. A brand that talks about rest and then interrupts yours isn't being honest.
What it doesn't mean
The store stays open. If you want to browse or order on the seventh day, you're welcome to. If you do, you may still get a text you asked for in that moment, like a sign-in code or an order confirmation. Those come because you reached out, not because we did.
We're not asking you to keep the day the way we do, and we're not judging anyone who works it. Nurses, pastors, parents and plenty of others don't get to stop. This is simply a promise about what we will send you.
Six days we move in our purpose. The seventh, we rest and listen for it.
His love endures forever.
